Danshui 淡水 Sunsets

I was on a business trip to Taipei last week. It was extremely hectic, with endless meetings during the day and cramming to finish presentations at night and in the wee hours of the morning.

Fortunately, we got to stay at the Park City Hotel which is a stone’s throw away from the Hongshulin MRT station, and one station away from Taipei’s famous seaside town Danshui 淡水. It is a regular business hotel with irregular history. It used to be a love hotel. That explained the oversized beds which were delightful after a long day, with the most amazing sunsets to match. No wonder, love is all around.

Of the seven nights I spent there, I only managed two sunsets, and thankful for them. So beautiful yet so ephemeral, like so many great things in this world that we need to cherish while we can.
