The Wedding

Two colleagues-cum-good friends got hitched on Sunday. Their wedding is a key reason why I’m home ahead of China’s one-week Golden Week holiday. Ah, Cindy’s getting married! I couldn’t help but remember the days we rode service 27 together after work having girl talk. So many years, so much has passed us by, and Cindy is moving on to the next important phase of her life. To marry a man as illustrious as Loi, I am truly happy for them both 🙂

The wedding was held at cute, historic, pure white Armenian Church on September 23. What’s truly remarkable about this wedding, other than the love that Loi and Cindy have forged over the years that culminated in this emotional beautiful ceremony, is that about everything – props and invitations – were handmade with love. From the invites I received, which were designed and customized by hand by the designer couple themselves, to the beautiful flower bouquets, garlands and decorations around the church compound that were completed by very skillful designer friends Yunqin, Liren, Joanne, Jocelyn, and I’m sure a few more other loving friends. A wedding blessed with so much love, definitely one to remember not just for the couple, but also those of us who were fortunate enough to share in the joy.

When Cindy walked in on her daddy’s arms, looking so beautiful, I must admit I teared up a little bit.

Tender loving kiss.

Who will host the next wedding?!

Look who gate-crashed the wedding?

We loved the props the groom prepared for our photo fun!

I had fun at swordplay with cheeky page boy Joel.

Beautiful garland by Yunqin lit up the church compound.

All dolled up!
