I’m a Malaysian who grew up in the awesome UNESCO Heritage City of Melaka. Although vibrant today, this seaside town was very quaint and tranquil back in the day, and this little fish in that small pond wondered what it was like swimming in the great oceans.
So she left her little cove, kissed her younger sisters goodbye, and floated into the amazing cosmopolitan city of Singapore. She never stopped wanderlusting, her wanderlusts had taken her to many strange places, where she met many friendly faces.
There was one place that never ceased to pique her curiosity: China. Her dynamism, her ever-changing landscape, her energy. These were the very things that this little fish thrived on, and she wanted to be a part of them.
So once again, she kissed her younger sisters goodbye, and floated from cosmopolitan city Singapore to cosmopolitan metropolis Shanghai in October 2010.
This blog chronicles this little fish’s continued search and discovery of whole new worlds.
